• Returns

We understand that buying over the internet can be the cause of doubt as to what you are actually going to receive - no matter how good photographs and descriptions are. So we have no problem in accepting the return of any items and are happy to make a refund under these circumstances. In anycase, you have the right to return goods,or cancel your order, after you have received them. Refer is you wish, to the DTI Guidelines by which you(as client) and we (as supplier) are regulated.

a. If you want to return your purchase, please let us know as soon as possible - and at the latest within 7 days of you receiving the item -any notification of cancellation or return made by 'phone should be confirmed either by e-mail or in writing. If possible please send back the item by the same delivery means as it was sent to you.

c. In sending back any item or items, please return them in their original packaging.

d. On delivery of the returned item to us - we will contact you by email or 'phone to confirm its receipt back to us and you will be refunded the purchase price within 7 days of us receiving back the item.

e. The above 4 conditions apply to stock items - but it does not apply to items which have been made to order e.g. brooches made with a specific tartan, necklaces/bracelets/rings made to specific designs or sizes.

f. We will refund the full purchase price of the returned item, but not including any post/delivery charges paid by you for the return of the item to us.We will not deduct the postage costs of sending items sent to you.

g. Any refund will be paid back by the same means/channel of payment made by you, ie a cheque payment from you, will be refunded by a cheque payment by us, a credit card payment will be refunded to your credit card etc....or as may be mutually agreed by us.

• Goods remain the property of GAELO until all charges relating to their purchase/delivery are fully paid.
•  If your purchase is damaged in transit, please let us know immediately so we can take up the matter from our end. Ultimately, the risk in sending by your choice of delivery is yours, and we will only commit to rectifying goods damaged in transit if the delivery option includes insurance.
• Mauchline Collection Brooches: The revolving catches which hold the back pin are of the best quality available - but they are delicate mechanisms and should be treated gently. We will not be liable for damage to the brooches and their catches caused by inappropriate use.
• We reserve the right not to supply/accept an order under any circumstances of our choosing.
• We expressly forbid the copying/imitating/reproducing any of our products. We expressly forbid the use of the name GAELO to be used except in association with our goods and products. GAELO is a registered trademark and any infringement of its use will be vigorously pursued. Gaelo's tartan brooches are protected by Design Registration at the UK Patent Office.
• UK purchases include V.A.T - our VAT number is 875 1735 96
• Overseas buyers - GAELO is not liable for any import or other taxes/duties which may be payable by individual importers of GAELOS products: Overseas buyers must satisfy themselves that any import duties etc are their liabilty.
• "Double" sales. Because the website accepts a sale via its automatic purchasing system, it may very occasionally happen that an item you purchase has already been sold....and that we are unable to fulfill your order.  In this circumstance, we will contact you as soon as  possible and arrange a 100% refund to you.
