Our new Scottish Plaid brooch pins are designed to be verstatile. Hand made in the highlands, each is made to order. We require a deposit to begin making any bespoke clan brooch...and recommend that you e-mail us before ordering. An e-mail link is at the bottom of the page.

We have made two prototypes - one in the FORBES tartan (left image) where we have set sapphire, toumaline and Russian Chrome Diopside to create a jewelled Forbes tartan below the lettering.
We can make create in gemstones the pattern of the main colours of any tartan.
The other, the LONACH brooch (our local Highland Games) in plain silver.
We can make this range of brooches in different sizes and styles and in the metal of your choice -
silver or gold. See more info below.

LEFT - Larger size - 2 inches (5 cms) in silver with 18ct gold buckle and natural, earth mined gemstones set to create a jewelled interpretation of the clan tartan's colours. £700
RIGHT - smaller size - 1½ inches ( just less than 4cms) in silver, with silver buckle and no gems. £240
We can make the bigger sized brooch with any name up to 10 letters
We can make ther smaller brooch with any name up to 8 letters.
Here is a rough guide to the various options available - and their approximate prices.
Larger size in silver with 18ct gold buckle and natural gemstones £700 (as example on left).
Larger size in silver, with silver buckle and gemstones tartan £625

These prices are a guide only - we have to quote on each brooch individually due to the wildly
fluctuating prices of silver and gold - and the availability of any gemstones necessary to create
a specific tartan's colours.
We would be pleased to quote for making any brooch in solid gold, or even, if you have a wealthy
eldery aunt, solid platinum!
Approximate order times - small or large size in silver/gold with no gemstones - about 4-5 weeks from confirmed order. We require a deposit before starting work.
Any specification of brooch with gemstones - about 10-12 weeks - because it takes a considerable
time to source the appropriate stones. Using Cubic Zirconias to create the tartan is quicker...about 8-10 weeks.
Once made, each brooch is sent to the Edinburgh Assay Office to receive its GAELO hallmark.
